To charge their batteries, all EVs need Direct Current (DC) electricity. In the UK we have Alternating Current (AC) electricity delivered to our homes and workplaces.

Your vehicle has it’s own onboard converter (OBC) that allows it to charge its batteries. To charge the batteries, the converter converts the AC electricity given by the EV Charger to DC electricity.
